New Year's Resolutions

You make them; I make them; we all make them. Most people's include some sort of physical component-- exercise regularly, eat healthily, you know. The usual highly-motivated lifestyle stuff.

Was devouring an entire box of Cinnamon Burst Cheerios in about 2 days one of my goals this year? Well...not exactly...

But is it the BEST cereal I have ever tasted, and did I get that box for free??
Yes!!

For everyone who feels their idealistic New Year's resolutions slipping, I am here to tell you that it is not the end of the world. Part of being human is learning how to laugh it off and let it go, then wake up tomorrow ready for a new week!

As one wise Canadian schoolteacher once said,
"Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it."
Because sometimes, we end up smashing our school materials over the heads of people who bother us, for reasons we can't always explain.

But we have friends (and family, for all you non-orphans) who love us for who we really are, not just slate-cracking maniacs.

And you know what?

Chances are that in the end, everything is going to turn out just fine.

The Simpsons.

There is nothing else in this world like family.

Despite the fact that we already have a highly successful comedy show named after us, we are all deeply convinced that our true calling in life is to be famous. And that we ought to be on TV. After much soul-searching and thorough discussion, we realized that our likelihood of going viral on youtube was far more likely than having Disney Channel executive producers show up at our door. And while for some, it may be a blow to realize that in the media world they are much more similar to Antoine Dodson than, say, Miley Cyrus... we discovered that there isn't much we wouldn't do if it would get us on Ellen.

Some people have traditions like ham and funeral potatoes on Christmas. For us, holidays usually consist of chicken and fries or *homemade Cafe Rio. However, above all else, getting together with the extended family always entails music videos. Any time of year we are lucky enough to spend time with each other, this is what we do for fun.

I love it.

This Christmas break we all ( and by "all" I mean 19 people in one house) basked in the paradise that is Southern California... and by "basked" I mean "entertained ourselves indoors through the torrential downpour." However, this resulted in not one but TWO new music videos for your viewing pleasure!

Meet my family.
Hope you had a wonderful holiday break!

Thug Story (Taylor Swift ft. T Pain)

Halo/ Walking on Sunshine (Glee Cast)
Note: Jealous we swam in a pool in December? If it makes you feel any better, know that we froze our buns off.

*Sweet pork recepie available upon request. I could probably be happy eating this and nothing else for the rest of my life.
