Waiting

In the past month, I have learned about patience in ways I would have never expected.

At least it keeps things interesting- this way, there is always something to look forward to!

Things that come in the mail

Like these beauties... (Size 7!)
And I have now waited three years before I was willing to shell out the cash for these babies. Happy half-birthday to me :)

Things that give me joy

Free play tickets and Magleby's cake? (which I have never had but heard is to die for)
Thank you, Hale Center Theatre!

Things that come on a plane

In a matter of weeks, practically!

Things that make me remember that winter isn't eternal!

Like summer vacation.
No, really-- we are going to HAWAII!! Can't even stand it. I will prepare myself by laying out daily as soon as the temperature hits 60 degrees.

Things that I get to decide...
Like scholarships, internships, housing, classes, mission-- who knows where I'll be this time next year?!?

Things that make me want to fast forward to the end...

To see a life well lived, full of love, messes in the kitchen and long walks in the park.

The kicker is, I KNOW my life is going to be fantastic. It's so comforting sometimes to look down the road, read your patriarchal blessing and bask in how great everything is going to turn out.

But in the meantime, there are a lot of little moments that you collect along the way

That make the end so much better.

A wise man once spoke of having Joy in the Journey

Right now, I'm enjoying listening to the sound of the rain tap down on the pavement and the Narnia trees outside.

What about you?
