Thanksgiving Pt. 1: "I'm Getting My Pioneer On"

A few weeks ago, Tom the Thankful Turkey made his annual appearance. As always, he was quite the hit, as some of my favorite people were coerced came over, hearts just brimming with love of tradition, and made their feathers.

And tomorrow is the big TURKEY DAY itself.
I worked so hard to get all my work done before the break. (Read: I stayed out too late all week but became incredibly efficient at the last minute.) But alas, BYU's Washington Seminar program is apparently very anti-family. Over the break, I am supposed to write at least 13 cover letters for summer internship applications. But where would this leave me?
I am rebelling against their holiday-hate and putting family first by spending my time:
  • sitting on the couch
  • watching Good Luck, Charlie
  • making jingle socks
  • painting my nails (black and gold glitter, in case you were wondering.)
  • playing guitar
  • seeing Bella have a baby. It was so weird we knew we couldn't not go.
  • checking out the making of Lindsay's ugly Christmas sweater.
  • playing dress-up in my aunt's old CHEERLEADING UNIFORMS.
A music video may soon ensue.
And don't be surprised if you ever see me wearing one of these babies on campus.

Lauren, Cousin Mara, Lindsay (can you believe her hair looks like that after driving for 8 hours??)

Best part of the night came when the only other bucket of costumes we could find were Mara's old trek clothes. Quote of the day goes to Jessie: "I'm getting my pioneer on."
Like the true cheerleaders we are, we tried to stunt.
This is always how it ended up.
I love my family.
Homework, Schmomework: Because you can't put a price on memories, baby.

The Girl Who Lived

11.11.11
Remembrance Day
But most importantly....

The One-Year Anniversary of The London HP7 Part 1 World Premiere!!

That means EXACTLY one year ago today, I held hands with Dean Thomas.

I haven't heard anything otherwise, so I assume we're still going steady.

(My apologies to the random stranger girl who got in this picture but now has no proof for all her family and friends because it was on my camera.)

And I hope you are all wishing for something fantastic tonight.

The First Halfsie!

Ta Da!! After years of saying I was going to do it... I did it! Haha. Not the farthest I've ever gone, but definitely the most sore I've been after a long run (I may have forgotten to stretch. And to bring gloves! Rookie mistake.)

 Gotta catch em all!

My friend Jannette = super cute mega-athlete!

The worst part: Dying of hypothermia at 6 a.m. waiting to be bussed up to Sundance. (After waking up at 5:51 a.m. to the text: Are you up? We're waiting outside.)

The best part: Running into tons of London friends (get it??) and everyone else's COSTUMES!
(Pikachu was a 6.99 find at Savers. Sometimes Karma just has your back.)

My personal favorites:
1. The guy who ran in a suit with a sign on his back identifying him as the 1%.
2. The guy who ran in a button-down and bright Spiderman briefs... forgot to his pants to work.
3. The family who ran as pigs. I especially liked when they wrapped themselves up earlier in the parking lot (Pigs in a blanket!)
4. The group of super buff guys who ran as fairies. Glittery tutus and all.
5. The lady who had on a hat like this.

I was jealous in the "I am so happy this thing exists" kind of way.

P.S. While we're on the topic of firsts, guess what I did for the first time this weekend...

What? Your work doesn't let you throw pumpkins off a roof for two hours? Bummer.
Because it was awesome.
